new herb garden area

this is our newest garden/sitting area that John created next to our garage. the wall was just covered with tar paper. Hopefully the next time you see this dirt it will be filled with hops climbing up the poles, lavender, lemonbalm, tulsi (holy basil), variety of mints, chamomile, catnip, parsley and some st. john's wort. (be planted a bunch of seeds but bought some starts for encouragement!) we are thinking that a fire pit would be nice in this area too.

Mother's Day, Nisula Hives

defying gravity

pollen pollen everywhere!

tan pollen

mass city hives

May 9th: checked the Nisula hives (25)--we have 38 in our field: most need a second box soon! Very busy girls…one dead-out, 2 I am concerned about, and the others are kicking butt! 53 degrees and sunny. Amazing to see the alchemy at work...bringing in lots of pollen.
